TROJAN HORSE XD

            Some say the city of Troy was destroyed by men, others say an earthquake diminished it. The Trojan Horse, known from the story The Iliad, was part of a myth of how Troy was destroyed. The story goes like this…

            The Greeks and the Trojans had been in a war for quite a while, and each had nothing but the best defences, which made it hard for anyone to win. It was pretty much impossible for the Greeks to get into the city of Troy, so they had to think of some way to get in when the Trojan’s defences were weak. Back at the time during a war, when one side gives a gift to the opponent, it meant that they surrender. These gifts are things like artwork, slaves, and money. This tradition is what gave the Greeks a clever idea to beat the Trojans. So one day, the Greeks pretend to surrender by taking a giant wooden horse to the Trojans and leave it by the gate, then walk away. The Trojans seem to have taken it as what it was supposed to be, a symbol of surrender, and they celebrate the victory. At night, when the Trojan’s had their guards down since they believed they had won the war against the Greeks, the city of Troy turned into Hell. The Greeks had been hiding inside the wooden horse, patiently waiting for the time to strike. After the Trojans went to a peaceful sleep, the Greeks came out of the wooden horse, killed the guards, and opened the front gate, allowing the other Greek fighters to enter the city of Troy. Now that the Greeks have entered Troy, it is over for the Trojans. The Greeks killed the people, set fires all over the city, and destroyed everything in site. Eventually, Troy was no more.

            That theory makes so much sense; however, there is another theory of how Troy was destroyed. Because of later investigation, it was discovered that large buildings and structures were also destroyed; it was then believed that man did not destroy Troy, but a terrible earthquake.

            The evidence of Troy’s destruction is a lot, but all different kinds of evidence. There are skulls, which proves Troy even existed. There are arrows, spears, and rushed burial, which proves there was battle at some point in Troy. And then there are collapsed buildings and structures, which proves a strong force helped destroy Troy. All this evidence put together makes it very confusing to come up with one true theory.

            Instead of ruling out the whole theory of the Trojan Horse, or the earthquake, why not put it together? There was a city named Troy. This city was in a terrible war against the Greeks. The Greeks tricked the Trojans with a false sign of surrender, and destroyed their city. They killed the people, they set fires, and they broke everything they could. Now the city of Troy is dead, but the buildings are still there. It’s an abandoned city. And who knows how many years later, there was an earthquake. This earthquake finished the city off by knocking buildings and large structures down to rubble. Troy was gone forever.

Leaders

Leaders are sometimes not very good at their jobs, like dictators. Because of that, they will have setbacks of revolutions and similar, such as the middle east revolutions happening right now. They will also have achievements though, especially when they are good, sincere leaders. They would achieve the complete satisfaction of their country and break down walls that were set up to keep them down. Leaders who show weakness or failure do not change my view about them in a negative way, instead, they gain my respect. They've shown that they are not perfect, that they are humans, thus relating to me and the nation even more, which would help them gain my trust.
Two great leaders i respect are one, MLK, and two, Malcolm X. King had achieved a lot, he helped the coloured people and breaking through that ignorant society. Malcolm X was similar. Tragedy is that both of these amazing heroes and leaders were assassinated.

Resume Experience

Writing the resume was fun and easy. I'm used to writing resume's, cause i write all my friends resumes.
The most important part of it is probably keeping it organized.
When i write my friends resumes, they end up getting manyyyy calls from multiple potential jobs XD

My name is Safa, but people call me Serena because that's what Safa means in English.
I'm 18 years old. I love reading and writing, and also dancing and singing (youtube.com/twigothique). I like playing basketball and football (not American -.-)
I write poetry, stories, and random things from the heart. And I like reading books, mostly historical fiction by Laurie Halse Anderson, and fantasy stories.
I also have a side hobby i guess lol, it's art, but only on photoshop. I like making book covers that go with my stories, and i make the covers on photoshop.
I love travelling, and i have traveled with my family to many countries, including Yemen, Italy, and Britain. Mostly Yemen lol, that's where my parents are from.
I speak fluent English and Arabic, because i learned them both at the same time. And later I learned Italian, Russian and German, but only conversationally fluent.
I really hope this is enough for an about me lol.
